About

This site exists for one reason: when the USDOT issued the Interim Final Rule on October 3, 2025, every certified DBE firm in the country had its certification suspended pending reevaluation. Within days, fifty states began publishing fifty different sets of instructions, deadlines, portals, forms, and contact points. There was no single place to find them.

getdbecertified.org is that place. Free, accurate, and updated as agencies announce changes.

Who this is for

DBE and ACDBE firm owners going through the federal reevaluation. Whether your home state is one with a clear deadline already published or one that is still figuring out its process, the goal is the same: get you the information you need to keep your certification.

The site is also useful for prime contractors trying to understand what their DBE subcontractors are working through, and for procurement staff at state and local agencies tracking the reevaluation across jurisdictions.

How I keep it accurate

Every state page lists a "Last verified" date. That date reflects when I last cross-checked the page against the certifying agency's official source — usually the agency's own DBE program page or its IFR-specific announcement.

When agencies post new information, I update the affected page and bump the date. When I receive a correction from a reader, I verify it against the official source before changing anything.

If you spot something wrong or out of date, email contact@getdbecertified.org. I'll verify and update.

What this site doesn't do

This site provides general information, not legal advice. Every page carries a disclaimer to that effect. If your firm's situation is complex — multi-state operations with unusual circumstances, a denied application you want to appeal, a change in ownership during reevaluation — talk to an attorney, an APEX Accelerator, or a Small Business Development Center. They can help with your specific case in a way a website cannot.

This site is also not affiliated with the USDOT, any state Department of Transportation, or any state Unified Certification Program.
